Authentic South Indian Dishes Coming Soon to Tampa
Indian Food Bandi will open next month in Tampa, serving authentic South Indian rice bowls, wraps, and lassis.

TAMPA, FL — Indian Food Bandi, a new stationary food truck from owner Swarna Anumukonda, will soon open at 8311 Sheldon Rd, Tampa, FL 33615. Anumukonda told Business Debut she expects to open next month.
What to Expect
Indian Food Bandi will specialize in authentic South Indian home-style cooking. The stationary food truck will remain permanently parked at its Sheldon Road location and serve dishes based on Anumukonda’s family recipes, designed to give guests “the feel of home food.” The menu will feature rice and chicken bowls, handmade wraps made with whole wheat, and house sandwiches with spicy, tangy flavors. Seating is still to be determined, but the concept will mainly operate as a takeout-style setup.
Menu and Vision
“It’s completely like South Indian authentic food,” Anumukonda told Business Debut. “Whoever is missing their home food or their mom’s taste can find it here.”
Menu highlights include homemade smoothies such as sweet lassi, mango lassi, and tart lassi, along with millet rice options for guests seeking healthier or protein-rich meals. “Everything is made fresh and right in front of people,” she said.
Anumukonda, who previously helped run her family’s cafeteria and catering business during college, said the goal is to bring traditional recipes from her mother’s kitchen to Tampa diners.
Opening Timeline
The food truck is targeting an opening at the end of next month.
Hours
Indian Food Bandi will be open daily from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m., with additional breakfast service planned on weekend mornings.
