Archie’s Cafe and Play Center Will Open Soon in Orlando
Targeting an early January opening, the Orlando concept will combine a café, soft-play area, STEM exhibits, and party room.
ORLANDO, FL — Archie’s Cafe & Play Center, led by owner Archiebald Askie and his wife Caroline Askie, is preparing to open at 11764 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32817, with a targeted early January launch.
Askie told Business Debut the team is awaiting final permit approvals and expects to open shortly after the holidays.
What to Expect
The 5,000-square-foot concept combines a café, soft-play area, and STEM-focused exhibits for children. Parents will have a dedicated café space to enjoy coffee and light snacks while kids play and explore interactive learning zones.
The layout includes a separate party room available for birthdays and other kid-focused events. Askie said they plan to host recurring family events, such as science-themed activities, to make the space a regular destination for local families.
Menu and Vision
The menu, developed by Caroline Askie, will feature café staples including salads, sandwiches, smoothies, slushies, soft-serve ice cream, bakery items, and a full coffee program. “We wanted both parents and kids to have options they love,” Askie told Business Debut.
Archie’s Cafe & Play Center will serve Hao Bao Bao Coffee, a brand chosen because a portion of proceeds supports families adopting children overseas. Askie described the partnership as a natural fit with their family-centered mission.
Askie said pricing is structured to remain accessible for a wide range of households. Play sessions are expected to start at about $22 for two hours, with memberships available.
