Angier, NC Getting a Gluten Free and Allergen-Friendly Bakery
Marchand's is planning to debut before the end of the year.
ANGIER, NC - A new gluten-free bakery is preparing to open at 32 E Depot St, Angier, NC 27501, bringing an allergen-friendly café concept to the area. Kristen and Sean Marchand, husband-and-wife business owners, are behind the upcoming venture. The Marchands are targeting an opening before the end of the year 2025 Kristen told Business Debut.
A Dedicated Gluten-Free Space
With a heavy emphasis on catering to clients who also want dairy-free, nut-free, and other allergy-friendly products, the new bakery will be completely gluten-free.
"Everything will be gluten-free, including sourdough, but there will also be a lot of dairy-free and nut-free options, so there's something for everybody," Marchand stated.
The bakery will primarily serve as a grab-and-go spot, but there will be tables and booths for customers who want to stay and enjoy their food. Once open, it will start out opening daily from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and then see what their slowest days are to get the final opening hours.
Food and Beverage Lineup
When the bakery opens, the Marchands plan to launch with a selection of baked goods and coffee service. Counter Culture Coffee will be served with just hot coffee and cold brew to start, with potential for additional coffee drinks in the future.
The menu will highlight fresh-baked sourdough loaves alongside muffins, cookies, English muffins, croissants, and custom cakes. Over time, Kristen said they’d love to expand to include more food offerings, such as bagels and cinnamon rolls.
“I'm gluten-free. It's me and my husband doing it together,” Kristen Marchand said. “We just finally decided to take the plunge and open our own thing, and there's a need for a dedicated gluten-free space.”
