FORT PIERCE, FL — Ana Banana, the downtown Fort Pierce dessert and coffee shop from owner Ana Maza, will expand its menu beginning January 17. The business, located at 110 S 2nd St, Fort Pierce, FL 34950, has been open for the past two months serving coffee and sweet treats.

Maza told Business Debut the January update marks a new phase for Ana Banana, introducing savory and salty options while leaning further into the family-friendly, multiuse environment she envisioned from the start.

What to Expect

Since opening, Ana Banana has operated as a casual stop for coffee and sweets. With the January 17 update, the space will reopen with an expanded menu and a more fully realized concept built around flexibility and comfort for families.

The shop is designed to encourage guests to stay, connect, and enjoy the space together. Maza said the layout allows Ana Banana to function as more than a quick stop, offering room for families to sit, gather, and spend time in a relaxed setting.

Ana Banana will expand its menu on January 17 with the addition of savory and salty items alongside the coffee and desserts the shop has offered since opening. Owner Ana Maza told Business Debut the goal is to give customers more balance and variety in one place.

“We do all the candies and handmade desserts, and now we’re introducing a new line of salty bites,” Maza said. “We want to do a mix of Brazilian and Venezuelan bites.”

Dubai chocolate remains a standout on the sweet side of the menu. “We worked a lot with Dubai chocolate,” Maza told Business Debut. “I love pistachio and I love chocolate, and it’s been super popular since 2025.” Offerings include handmade Dubai chocolate bars made with Belgian chocolate, pistachio tiramisu, Dubai chocolate cake, and Dubai chocolate strawberries.

New savory items will include Venezuelan tequeños, Brazilian coxinhas filled with chicken, Venezuelan-style chicken empanadas, and cheese pizza. “We want to introduce little by little so everyone can have whatever they actually like,” she said.

Ownership and Vision

Maza said Ana Banana was created with families in mind, from the menu to the overall atmosphere. She told Business Debut the goal has always been to offer a warm, welcoming space where guests feel comfortable spending time together.

Her husband, Jose Maximo Maza, has been closely involved in bringing the concept to life. Maza told Business Debut he built much of the shop’s interior by hand, including the wood elements throughout the space, helping shape the look and feel of Ana Banana.

The January expansion reflects Maza’s original vision for a business that can grow and evolve while remaining approachable, family-focused, and community-oriented.
