Amorino Set to Open in St. Petersburg With Grand Opening Event

A menu of gelato, crepes, waffles, and espresso drinks is coming to this St. Petersburg location.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Amorino is set to open at 1246 Central Ave. Suite 104, St Petersburg, FL 33705 on May 2, with a grand opening event planned from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. featuring free gelato and other items, Narmine Dakak told Business Debut.

The St. Petersburg shop is the ninth location owned by partners Narmine Dakak, Naser Dakak, and German Rodriguez, and their second in Florida, Dakak told Business Debut.

What to Expect

Amorino brings its signature European-style gelato experience to St. Petersburg, centered around handcrafted gelato served in rose-shaped cones. Each cone is carefully assembled petal by petal, allowing guests to choose multiple flavors in a single serving.

“What makes this unique… is we make all of the cones into the shape of a rose,” Dakak told Business Debut. “Every single cone… is a whole experience.”

The shop will also feature an Italian espresso bar, crepes, waffles, and a guided ordering process where guests select their size first, then sample flavors before their gelato is crafted.

Seating will include approximately 15 to 20 seats split between indoor and patio space, designed for guests to enjoy their desserts immediately after receiving them.

The menu highlights authentic gelato made from globally sourced ingredients and produced through a centralized kitchen in Paris to maintain consistency and quality.

Dakak emphasized the brand’s standards, telling Business Debut, “We are very committed to our product… and to how customers perceive us and how they enjoy their time with us.”

Among her favorite items is a crepe with stracciatella gelato, finished with a chocolate hazelnut sauce made in-house. She described it as “the perfect end to a stressful day,” Dakak told Business Debut.

She also highlighted the affogato, featuring Madagascar vanilla bourbon gelato with espresso poured on top. “If I wanted to start my day… definitely an affogato,” Dakak told Business Debut.

Dakak said her background includes a degree in marketing and an MBA from the University of Texas, along with running a freelance marketing business during college. After discovering Amorino shortly after graduating, she was drawn to the brand’s atmosphere and product, ultimately choosing it as a way to combine her interest in business ownership with a customer-focused dessert and coffee concept, she told Business Debut.
