Alcohol-Free Nightlife Opening in Sweetwater as Soon as Dec. 12th
Sweetwater’s new Votanik Lounge will bring an alcohol-free, late-night spot with drinks and cozy seating.
SWEETWATER, FL — A new late-night hangout is preparing to open in the heart of Sweetwater, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional nightlife. Votanik Lounge, located at 628 SW 109th Ave, Miami, Sweetwater, FL 33174, is aiming to open its doors on Friday, December 12, pending final city approvals.
About the Concept
Votanik Lounge is a membership-only sober lounge with no alcohol and no tobacco products. Instead, guests will find: Kratom-infused teas, juices, sodas & slushies, vapes and nicotine pouches, and a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere
Membership costs $5 per month and includes one free drink. Access is granted through a QR code that opens a hidden door leading into the lounge.
Inside the Space
The lounge is designed with a living-room style layout, featuring: a 100-inch TV for gaming and events with more TV's scattered throughout, cozy couches and chairs, board games, and high speed internet for students and remote workers.
Initial capacity is around 25 seats, with plans to expand to 35.
Hours & Age Requirement
Expect the hours to be 7 days a week with weekend opening hours extending as late as 2 a.m.
The business will be closed Sunday mornings and be only for adults 21 years of age and up.
Why He Opened It
Peterson, who also serves as a pastor and business owner, was inspired by the sense of belonging he witnessed in similar sober café concepts. He hopes Votanik will become a modern gathering place where guests feel seen, supported, and part of a community.
