Ahmad Prin & Ken’s Kitchen Brings Soul Food to Decatur
Owner Kenshayla Trammell will expand her business into a brick-and-mortar soon.

DECATUR, GA — Ahmad Prin & Ken’s Kitchen is now serving up homemade soul food favorites throughout Decatur, GA, operating remotely while founder Kenshayla Trammell searches for a permanent brick-and-mortar location. Trammell told Business Debut she hopes to open a physical restaurant by early 2026.
What to Expect
Trammell currently prepares all dishes from her home kitchen, setting up in various community spots to serve fresh, from-scratch meals. She also donates meals as part of her mission to give back to the community. “Every meal has a story to tell and some wings to fly,” she told Business Debut.
Favorites include baked macaroni and cheese, homemade mashed potatoes, candied yams, collard greens, cornbread, and chicken and dressing. Everything is made from scratch, with no canned ingredients.
Menu and Vision
Ahmad Prin & Ken’s Kitchen is named in honor of Trammell’s late mother, brother, and daughter’s father. “It’s a family legacy,” she said. “When you eat the food, you can feel the love and taste it — every meal tells a story.”
Trammell said the future restaurant will serve traditional soul food in a welcoming space that celebrates family, resilience, and community. She hopes to eventually expand the concept beyond Georgia.
