5 New & Coming Soon Wake County Restaurants

Wake County’s restaurant pipeline keeps growing, with everything from fast-casual chicken to full-scale steakhouses either opening now or moving through development. Some of these concepts are imminent, others are longer-term developments already underway.

Here are five new or coming restaurants to keep on your radar.

Campo Azul Mexican Cuisine — Raleigh

Campo Azul Mexican Cuisine is planned for 7320 Buffaloe Rd., Suite 120, in a Publix-anchored development. The full-service restaurant is waiting on final permitting before construction begins, with March currently targeted as a rough opening window.

The space is expected to seat about 90 to 100 guests, including a 17-seat bar. The menu will blend Tex-Mex favorites with more traditional dishes such as street tacos, birria, and esquites-style corn.
