Big Jake’s BBQ — Jacksonville

Status: Targeting a May 1 opening.

Who’s behind it: Robert Rukab and partner Zee bring decades of restaurant experience to their first dedicated BBQ concept.
Potbelly Sandwich Works — Jacksonville

Who’s behind it: Keith and Catherine Jones are building a community-focused concept inspired by casual, approachable dining.
Annie Ru’s Carryout and Catering — Jacksonville

Status: Opened March 11.
What to expect: Buffet-style Southern comfort concept designed for quick service and carryout, with a large dining room and event space.
