Island Seafood Market and Oyster Bar — Upper Westside Market

Address: 1385 Collier Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Status: Planning stage; opening timeline has not been announced.

What to expect: Seafood market plus a dedicated oyster bar under one roof. One side will focus on fresh seafood for home cooking, while the other will offer a sit-down oyster and chilled seafood experience.

Menu highlights: More than 100 oyster varieties daily is the goal, sourced from across the U.S. and Canada. The oyster bar will stay tightly focused, while the market side will sell fresh fish and other seafood.

Who’s behind it: Owner Ingram Boykins, following years of mobile seafood sales and pop-ups around metro Atlanta farmers markets.

Menu highlights: Global fusion dishes built on the format established in Charlotte. Ownership describes the Atlanta restaurant as a more elevated version of the original, with a larger footprint and added design elements.

D'Pana — Doraville

What to expect: Venezuelan-American restaurant and sports bar with roughly 48 indoor seats. The setup will allow for both full-service dining and a quicker self-service option.

Menu highlights: Arepas, cachapas, hamburgers, tostadas, and other casual fare. A bar component is planned, though alcohol service may come after opening depending on licensing.

The Grotto — Downtown Atlanta

Status: Targeting an opening within the next 60 days, pending final inspections and liquor licensing.

What to expect: Tropical, open-air concept with a patio for up to 100 guests and a small indoor bar with about 12 seats. The space is designed to feel like a vacation escape, with greenery, stone, concrete, and exotic woods.

Menu highlights: Latin-inspired street tacos, margaritas, and craft cocktails with ingredients like spicy cucumber, roasted pineapple, and passion fruit. Seafood-forward tacos such as fish and shrimp are also part of the plan.

Hours: Planned Wednesday through Sunday, with service focused on midday through around 10 p.m. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
