Between Fernandina Beach and Yulee we have a few new restaurants to share. Three are brick and mortar and one is a mobile trailer planning to debut next month.

Marche Cotier — Fernandina Beach (Downtown)

European-inspired market café at 5 S 2nd St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034; officially opened on Sunday, Aug. 31 (day before Labor Day).

What to expect: A 1,200-sq.-ft. specialty market with a cozy window bar for up to 12 guests. Mediterranean café vibes with cheeses, prosciutto, pantry goods, and Italian-style coffee drinks.

Menu & vision: 42 cheeses, multiple prosciutti, jams, mustards, pâtés, and imported spreads. Real affogatos with house-made Madagascar vanilla gelato; charcuterie sliced on a flywheel; caviar service (five types); ~30 wines by bottle and rotating glasses.

Extras: Exclusive Umbrian olive oil from 500–600-year-old trees; Marsh & Meat Club featuring dry-aged steaks, Wagyu, game, truffles, and morel mushrooms by request.

Hours: Tue–Thu 9 a.m.–8 p.m.; Fri–Sat 8 a.m.–9 p.m.; Sun 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; closed Mon.

Coming Soon

Kitchen 251 — Fernandina Beach (Downtown Relocation)

Moving from Amelia Island Marina to 801 Beech St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034; final marina service is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Target opening Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.

What to expect: Much larger historic downtown space with ~140 indoor seats and 35–40 outdoors, a full bar, and a kitchen nearly 5x the current size. Casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere remains; pet-friendly patio stays.

Menu & vision: Fresh, never-frozen seafood (fries excepted), Cajun influence, chef-driven plates by Chef Michael of South Louisiana. Added capacity unlocks pastas, regular steaks, and expanded desserts—Ashley’s in-house cheesecakes included.

Background: Owned by Ashley and Chef Michael McCarroll; long-time locals with deep Fernandina roots and a loyal following moving with them.

Hours (tentative): Tue–Sat 11 a.m.–9 p.m.

Viet Noms — COUNTY-WIDE (FOOD TRAILER)

Food Truck/Trailer: Asian street food trailer servicing Nassau County and events statewide; aiming to be fully operational January 2026 (one small late-2025 event planned).

What to expect: Night-market style menu at fairs, markets, and private functions. Blends Vietnamese street flavor with American fair energy.

Menu & vision: Family recipes with handmade prep. Standouts include 12–24 hr–marinated Korean beef short ribs over rice with house pickles; plus teriyaki chicken skewers, egg rolls, banh mi, musubi, onigiri, and Vietnamese beetle leaf rolls.

Ownership: Founded by Liberty Phan with help from husband Reed Allen Jr. and extended family—bringing her father’s cooking to wider audiences.

Hours: Primarily weekends; weekdays based on event bookings.

Southern Roost — Yulee (Wildlight)

Coming to 87 Wildworks Ave, Yulee, FL 32097; targeting early summer 2026 (likely June). First Florida location; fourth overall for the brand.

What to expect: Fast casual with counter service and double drive-thru plus a family-friendly turf front yard with cornhole and a fire pit. ~140 seats across indoor/outdoor areas.

Menu & vision: Southern breakfast and chicken—hand-breaded tenders, sandwiches, and hometown-style breakfast. Signature Dirty Bird: crispy chicken, house pimento cheese, bacon jam, Southwest ranch, and fried pickles.

Sauces & sweets: Eight house-made sauces (top seller: R Sauce), plus grape salad, honey butter croissants, cookies, and lemonade milkshakes.

Hours (typical): 6 a.m.–9 p.m.; final hours may run later on weekends.
