KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot — North Miami Beach

Address: 13699 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami Beach, FL 33181

Status: Preparing to open; targeting late December or January, pending final inspections.

What to expect: All-you-can-eat Korean barbecue and Asian hot pot with gas grills at every table, a sauce bar, 38 tables and about 130 seats. Full bar with signature cocktails, soju, boba tea, mocktails, and soda creations. Florida seafood may enable occasional seasonal items, while the core menu stays standardized.

Menu highlights: Choose BBQ, hot pot, or both with no ordering limits. Standouts include KPot short ribs (galbi) in the house marinade, Sichuan spicy broth, and Thai Tom Yum broth. Popular add-ins: sliced brisket, ribeye, ramen noodles, seafood, sliced lamb, beef tongue, and tripe.

Pricing: Lunch $22.99 for BBQ or hot pot, +$5 to do both. Dinner $33.99, +$5 to combine, with access to premium items. Full offering is roughly 85 items.

Throw Social Miami — Wynwood

Address: 2335 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33127

Status: Targeting a New Year’s Eve debut; awaiting final permits expected in mid-December. Team plans to host a NYE event regardless, aiming to have approvals in place.

What to expect: A 35,000-sq-ft indoor–outdoor entertainment venue with five bars, live music, DJs, games, and rentable cabanas and lounges. More than 20,000 sq ft outdoors, about 350 seats, two interior event rooms, and a motorized pergola for year-round patio use.

Menu highlights: Mirrors the Delray Beach location with shareables, lighter options, and Polynesian-leaning dishes. Favorites include the sampler platter, bourbon jerk chicken sandwich, coconut shrimp, and Polynesian lettuce wraps. Drinks include the Spicy Skinny Cucumber Blueberry Margarita, flamingo punch bowls, and themed decanters.

Hours: Weekend brunch starts at noon; additional hours to be announced.

Who’s behind it: Owner Ginger Flesher-Sonnier, with COO Robert Sweers and husband Darren Sonnier. This is Flesher-Sonnier’s largest project and her ninth opening; she previously built a top escape-room brand and launched the first axe-throwing bar in NYC.

Yes! Café — Midtown Miami

Address: 2711 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137

Status: Third location slated for a February opening.

What to expect: A small standalone building with character, roughly 20 seats inside and 20 outside, with potential for more indoors. Primarily counter-service, with the option to shift to full service based on demand. The site has an existing neighborhood following.

Menu highlights: Fast-casual staples—breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and smoothies. Signatures include the Yes Burrito (plantains, chicken, garlic aglio e olio) and crowd-favorite pancakes.

Hours: Open seven days from 8 a.m.–1 a.m., extending to 2 a.m. on weekends.

Who’s behind it: Owner Federico Legaz with his wife and father; Chef Patricia leads the kitchen and GM Jenke Heinke oversees operations. The family emphasizes friendly, welcoming service.

Ami Ami — Coral Gables (2026)

Address: 318 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134

Status: Coming soon; targeting a February or March 2026 opening. City approved an artistic façade; beer-and-wine license in process.

What to expect: Café and cultural space blending food, books, music, and art. Full service for breakfast and lunch, plus coffee, pastries, and light takeaway. Evening service from 5–8 p.m. with curated boards and a featured plate; about 48 indoor seats.

Menu highlights: Mediterranean-inspired with global influences, including acai bowls, wraps, and seasonal plates.

Hours: Planned 9 a.m.–8 p.m., six days a week.

Who’s behind it: Co-owners Milena Damchevski and Dusan Drakalski. A family project shaped with input from their children; the name nods to “friend” (French), “my people” (Hebrew), a playful “in Miami” in Spanish, and their kids’ “yummy yummy.”
