215 Steaks Brings Philly Cheesesteaks to Plantation

PLANTATION, FL – 215 Steaks is now officially serving up authentic Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks in Plantation, Florida. The business is already open but is still finalizing everything they want in the menu, according to owner Paul Monte, who spoke with Business Debut.

The food truck is primarily stationed at 747 N State Rd 7, Plantation, FL 33317, where a small seating area allows customers to enjoy their meals. While the truck is parked there for daily service, Monte explained that it is actually docked at his headquarters on Hiatus Road in Sunrise. “That is where we park up. That’s like our headquarters,” Monte said, clarifying that Sunrise serves as the operational base, while the dealership is where customers can visit and eat.

215 Steaks operates from 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.

Menu Highlights and Concept

True to its Philadelphia roots, the menu features beef, chicken, and salmon cheesesteaks, as well as a variety of fries, including cheese fries and chicken bacon ranch fries.

“The menu is short and sweet; we just want to bring the authentic vibe to it,” Monte said. It focuses on quality over quantity, ensuring that every bite captures the authentic Philly experience.

Owner’s Background

Monte, who has years of experience in the restaurant industry, runs 215 Steaks as a solo venture in Florida. “We just want to bring an authentic Philadelphia-style cheesesteak to Florida,” Monte said. Originally from Philadelphia, Monte also operates a restaurant and a bar in his hometown, but 215 Steaks marks his first restaurant venture in Florida.

Before opening 215 Steaks, Monte spent several years in the automotive industry before transitioning fully into the restaurant business in 2018. His move to Fort Lauderdale reignited his passion for food, prompting him to launch the 215 Steaks food truck.

While Monte currently runs the truck solo, he has plans to grow the operation as demand increases in the future.
