CHARLOTTE, NC — 1368 Sweet Corner Cafe is preparing to open a second Charlotte location this spring in the University area, owner Crystal Nguyen told Business Debut. The new cafe is targeting an April or May opening at 9211 N. Tryon St STE-5, Charlotte, NC 28262.

The expansion follows the success of the brand’s first location in South Charlotte, which opened in June 2022. Nguyen said the University-area cafe will follow the same concept and menu as the original shop.

What to Expect

Guests can expect a casual counter-service cafe offering Vietnamese street food, boba tea, mochi donuts, coffee, and desserts. Customers will order at the counter and food will be brought to the table.

The concept is designed as a one-stop destination for a range of quick bites and drinks throughout the day. “The main thing that we want to do is bring out the concept that’s all in one — a one-stop shop,” Nguyen told Business Debut.

Nguyen said the goal is to create a place where guests can find snacks, desserts, and meal options in one visit. “From A to Z, you don’t have to drive far away to get snacks, desserts, and food,” she told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

Construction and preparations are underway, with the team targeting an April or May opening in the University area.

Once open, the new shop will become the brand’s second Charlotte location.

Hours

The cafe is expected to operate seven days a week.

Nguyen said the shop will open early in the morning and remain open later in the evening, likely until around 10 p.m.
